Can anyone help, Im a warehouse manager in a busy buildings material warehoue, which operates a delivery to site and customer collection system. As with all of these types of systems there are peaks and troughs in vehicle arrivals and depatures. These peaks and troughs cause delays in turning vehicles round and overspends on manning.
I am convinced that a vehicle arrival booking system will result in an improvement in vehicle turnround times and assist in manning costs. I have sufficent data to prove the delays caused by the present system but I am now looking for case studies which will help prove my case.
Any assistance will be appreciated.
