What qualification is the better option?

Recently joined CILT UK, in the past, I've accumulated experience as a traffic clerk, in both civilian and military logistics.  looking to get back into the industry. During my period of absence from the industry I have taken the time to gain some generic business related qualifications, which gave me an insight into how businesses are created, function, and managed. However, each time I have submitted an application for a position within the industry the same reply comes back; “no real current experience or industry related qualifications” With this in mind, would it be preferable to get my national CPC, or to get the CILT Level 3 certificate in logistics and transport? – Appreciate pros and cons for both, but keen to hear others thoughts

RE: What qualification is the better option?

Both are good options it would be an advantage to have both as the level 3 will give you a good general qualification demonstrating your knowledge logistics as a whole, whereas the CPC will demonstrate knowledge of transport.

Some employers still require the CPC regardless of any other qualification as it covers legal requirements.

I am presently in the final stages of taking the level 5 and will be carrying on to do the CPC.
